Travelzoo has released the results of a survey focusing on regional travel appetite in the Asia Pacific. Of the 4300 respondents, Australia came in second as a preferred destination for Hong Kong tourists, and fourth for Chinese tourists. Additionally, the survey highlighted that Asian travellers are seeking more immersive travel experiences which go beyond shopping or visiting iconic attractions. According to the survey's findings, mainland Chinese tourists are set to be the biggest travellers of 2015, taking an average of 6.4 leisure trips and spending approximately USD $8558.
