AARP has released a new report delving into the solo travel market. The highlights include:
Among adults aged 45+ who have travelled for personal/leisure reasons in the past 2 years and who use at least one online travel website, 37% claim to have taken a solo trip in the past.
Of the 37% who have travelled solo, 53% of travellers are married and 39% are single/divorced.
On average, they have taken 4 solo trips.
81% are likely to take another solo trip in the next 12 months.
The solo traveller is looking for a laidback and relaxing holiday. The majority of solo travellers are extremely satisfied with their solo trips, with 81% planning to take another solo trip within the next 12 months. Click here to learn more.
