This time-lapse video has never been more relevant. As the eyes of the world are fixed on events in Ukraine and Crimea, its good to have a little perspective on the ever-changing flux of borders throughout time. Very cool!

If you have ever had embarrassing content pop up on the side while showing a YouTube video in class, check this out. It allows you to watch content without all the other "stuff" that appears on the screen. |

The best point being that we rarely consume what we offer after we are done with our own education. Good to put ourselves in our students shoes to learn something outside of our comfort zone again.

When I created an assignment for one of my Master classes I experimented with Goggle Forms as one of my assessments and as a means of getting back feedback fro my learners and boy was it fun. Google forms would be a perfect fit in building tests, quizzes, and questionnaires to get your students work automatically graded therefore saving you more time. My mom is a 1st grade teacher and one of the things she struggles with is to stay up to date with her Read Naturally data sheet, and using a google form that is already built into her Google classroom would really help her keep track of her student's progress much easier. However, my mom is an old school, traditional teacher and doesn't use other devices except for her projector and document reader for classroom instruction. She has never assimilated into the new technological innovations and as she nears retirement she believes it is to late for her to learn, however it would make her life in the classroom much easier. This would be a great article for her to read so she could see the benefits of using Google apps to transform her classroom.

Like many other technological approaches, video games have also proved their worth in contributing towards educational enhancement. As we know, educational video games are an effective way to improve one’s critical thinking and problem-solving nature. This infographic covers both pros and cons of usage of video games in school. As a teacher, this is a great guide to follow at the moment of applying video games to our classes. |
Great learning tool!
