One of the most exciting target groups in the world is the LGBTQ society. From luxury brands to gastronomy and tourism to cultural consumption, their presence is considerable all over the world – and Budapest is no exception.

To kick off Pride Month, the KindRED Pride Foundation announces a 12-Hour Virtual Celebration on Saturday June 6 and their Take the RED Shirt Challenge to inspire ONE MILLION people to wear RED on the first Saturday in June 2020 (June 6) as a sign of solidarity for those that believe in Diversity, Inclusion, Equality, Safe Expression, and Kindness.

Global Pride, a online event scheduled for June 27, will feature remarks by prime ministers and royalty as well as performances by international musical acts, according to organizers.

The Smithsonian Pride Alliance, whose membership spans all of the Institution’s 19 museums, 21 libraries, nine research centers and the National Zoo, will kick off “Pride month for all” with PROJECT PRIDE, a virtual concert and digital time-capsule celebration of LGBTQ+ heritage, culture and history featuring LGBTQ+ musicians, artists and allies, as well as highlights from the Smithsonian collections. PROJECT PRIDE will premiere on YouTube Sunday, May 31, at 8 p.m. ET.

Dozens of Pride celebrations are scrambling to go virtual. One core problem? Making sure they don't feel like another long-winded Zoom call.

The International LGBTQ+ Travel Association has provided support to its members through weekly Google Meet conversations for the past month, offering as many as 12 different group calls each Thursday. The IGLTA Members Connect Series targets various regions and travel business types (travel advisors, tour operators, CVBs, media) and is offered in English, Spanish and Portuguese. On 7 May, the organization will feature Milan, Italy, which would have been hosting IGLTA’s 37th Annual Global Convention this week.
