Photos from a day trip to San Francisco - a practical timeline on how to spend 24 hours in SF with burritos in Mission, LGBT history in Castro & more
Matt Skallerud's insight:

A few weeks ago I was surprised with a last-minute trip to San Francisco. With just a single night in the city and all-total about 24 hours to explore, I didn’t waste my time. I packed nothing more than a backpack with a change of clothes, my toothbrush, my iPhone and an extra battery pack. Armed with my phone and a handful of recommendations I picked up on Twitter and Instagram, I was ready for a quick 24-hour trip to San Francisco.

Matt Skallerud's insight:

If there’s one place you should spend a Christmas away from home, it’s in Germany. Not only is it home to the original Christmas markets but they also have a number of gay-themed Christmas markets to explore. One of the longest running gay Christmas markets in Germany is the Pink Christmas market in Munich. I managed to make a quick visit to Bavaria last week to check out the legendary market.

Six ways to grow your business through the power of connections

Six ways to grow your business through the power of connections | LGBTQ+ Destinations | Scoop.it

Extend your work into the real world - Adam Groffman quit his job as a book designer in 2010 to move to Berlin and launch Travelsofadam.com. His website often makes it into Top 20 Travel Blogs lists and has featured in newspapers and magazines.

Matt Skallerud's insight:

"Last summer, I started an offline networking group - Make Friends in Berlin - with my friend Cheryl Howard. It has served as an outlet for us to share tips and help newcomers get acquainted with living in a new city. We've grown into a community of over 1,000 members and regularly have meet-ups of 100-150 participants. It’s allowed us to network with new people and extend our blogs out into the real world."
